SpaceX Company Description
Space Exploration Technologies Corp., better known as SpaceX, is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company with a bold vision: enabling multiplanetary life. Founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, the company has emerged as a major player in the space industry, achieving several groundbreaking milestones along the way. They design, manufacture, and launch their own rockets and spacecraft, including the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets, and the Dragon and Starship spacecraft. Notably, SpaceX is the first private company to develop a liquid-propellant rocket that reached orbit; launch, orbit, and recover a spacecraft. SpaceX satellite business (Starlink) is expected to IPO in 2025 or so. Musk had previously said that he intended to list Starlink when revenue growth and cash flow became smooth and predictable.
