Gorman Rupp Co has split its stock 10 times since its initial public offering (IPO). The first stock split occurred on April 03, 1978 with the ratio of 5-for-4, meaning that for 4 shares of GRC owned pre-split, shareholders then owned 5 shares. 9 more splits have been implemented since then. The most recent stock split took place on December 11, 2013 on a 5-for-4 basis.
These splits have increased GRC stock's liquidity and made it more appealing to a larger group of investors. However, it's important to remember that these actions only change the number of shares and the price per share with no impact on Gorman Rupp Co's total market capitalization.

The answer will depend on the decisions of the company's managers and market volatility. Gorman Rupp Co has not made an official announcement regarding whether it will enact a stock split or reverse stock split, but it has a history of doing so when GRC stock prices become too high or too low for retail investors. Therefore, the ultimate decisions will certainly be made by Gorman Rupp Co's board of directors. Typically, no action is taken until its price per share reaches a specific threshold.
