Vistagen Therapeutics Inc has split its stock 3 times since its initial public offering (IPO). The first stock split occurred on June 10, 2011 with the ratio of 2-for-1, meaning that for 1 share of VTGN owned pre-split, shareholders then owned 2 shares. 2 more splits have been implemented since then. The most recent stock split took place on June 07, 2023 on a 1-for-30 basis.
These splits have increased VTGN stock's liquidity and made it more appealing to a larger group of investors. However, it's important to remember that these actions only change the number of shares and the price per share with no impact on Vistagen Therapeutics Inc's total market capitalization.

The answer will depend on the decisions of the company's managers and market volatility. Vistagen Therapeutics Inc has not made an official announcement regarding whether it will enact a stock split or reverse stock split, but it has a history of doing so when VTGN stock prices become too high or too low for retail investors. Therefore, the ultimate decisions will certainly be made by Vistagen Therapeutics Inc's board of directors. Typically, no action is taken until its price per share reaches a specific threshold.
