Richardson Electronics Ltd has split its stock 3 times since its initial public offering (IPO). The first stock split occurred on June 03, 1985 with the ratio of 3-for-2, meaning that for 2 shares of RELL owned pre-split, shareholders then owned 3 shares. 2 more splits have been implemented since then. The most recent stock split took place on October 26, 1987 on a 110-for-100 basis.
These splits have increased RELL stock's liquidity and made it more appealing to a larger group of investors. However, it's important to remember that these actions only change the number of shares and the price per share with no impact on Richardson Electronics Ltd's total market capitalization.

The answer will depend on the decisions of the company's managers and market volatility. Richardson Electronics Ltd has not made an official announcement regarding whether it will enact a stock split or reverse stock split, but it has a history of doing so when RELL stock prices become too high or too low for retail investors. Therefore, the ultimate decisions will certainly be made by Richardson Electronics Ltd's board of directors. Typically, no action is taken until its price per share reaches a specific threshold.
