The company's Office Furniture segment offers a range of metal and wood commercial and home office furniture, which include storage products, desks, credenzas, chairs, tables, bookcases, freestanding office partitions and panel systems, and other related products under the HON, Allsteel, Maxon, Gunlocke, HBF, OFM, basyx by HON, Lamex, and HNI India brands. This segment sells its products through independent and local office products dealers; national office product distributors; selling relationships with the end-users; wholesalers; and direct sales to federal, state, and local government offices. The Hearth Products segment provides various gas, electric, wood, and biomass burning fireplaces; inserts; stoves; facings; and accessories primarily for the home under the Heatilator, Heat & Glo, Majestic, Monessen, Quadra-Fire, Harman Stove, Vermont Castings, and PelPro brands. It markets its products through independent dealers, distributors, and corporation-owned distribution and retail outlets. HNI Corporation was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Muscatine, Iowa.
