Xenetic Biosciences Inc has split its stock 5 times since its initial public offering (IPO). The first stock split occurred on March 01, 2013 with the ratio of 10-for-1, meaning that for 1 share of XBIO owned pre-split, shareholders then owned 10 shares. 4 more splits have been implemented since then. The most recent stock split took place on May 15, 2023 on a 1-for-10 basis.
These splits have increased XBIO stock's liquidity and made it more appealing to a larger group of investors. However, it's important to remember that these actions only change the number of shares and the price per share with no impact on Xenetic Biosciences Inc's total market capitalization.

The answer will depend on the decisions of the company's managers and market volatility. Xenetic Biosciences Inc has not made an official announcement regarding whether it will enact a stock split or reverse stock split, but it has a history of doing so when XBIO stock prices become too high or too low for retail investors. Therefore, the ultimate decisions will certainly be made by Xenetic Biosciences Inc's board of directors. Typically, no action is taken until its price per share reaches a specific threshold.
