VZ's stock dropped 7.5% after The Wall Street Journal articles raised concerns about lead in legacy cable sheathing used by telecom companies decades ago. The focus was primarily on AT&T, but Verizon was also mentioned. While AT&T has more legacy assets reaching homes, Verizon's focus has been on wireless assets for over two decades.
